Where's Yoda?

This morning was the first day of class for H. I went to the MOMA to a gallery talk and then met H for lunch. We walked down to Grand Central to buy coffee beans from Joe's and took a couple of pictures too. On the way we stopped at the Leggo store in Rockefeller Center.

This was H's first day of class. She is taking a figure painting class for oils. Below is her painting at the far left. You can see a couple of others in the picture also.

This is a better photo of H's painting with the model in view. She is not finished and will continue to work on it. They will have the same model and pose for two more weeks; then they will get a new model. H said the class has about 12 students and several are real characters. She said the model's expression would have been hard to hold. She showed it to me and had me try to hold it for just a few seconds. Your bottom lip begins to quiver!

  1. Hey, heard it was REALLY hot in NYC today (like Shreveport was about 10 days ago!!!!! Surely it will cool off some.

What was your lecture at MOMA?

Hannah, your painting looks awesome to me....do you have to do a bunch of different views and do lots of paintings or work on one?

How is the coffee from Joe's?
