Guggenheim

This morning we walked in the park but took a different route.  We walked toward the West Side to Strawberry Fields where Tony and I "kicked hippies' hacky sacks into the bushes" a la Jack Donaghy (#30Rock).  We tried to "keep our powder dry" and ate a street vendor hot dog for lunch.  Not as good as I had anticipated.  But not as bad either.

The New York Post (the anti-New York Times) is never one to let a great headline opportunity slip by.  Tony stopped abruptly this afternoon when we were walking along the street and just died out laughing.  This was on the news stand.  You have to hand it to them....

We took your old slides, Dad, to the same place we took them last year to be digitized.  Then we headed up to the Guggenheim where we wanted to see the Francesca Woodman photography exhibit.  The museum architect is so cool, a Frank Lloyd Wright design.  The Francisca Woodman was haunting, especially since she would have been my age had she not committed suicide at 22.

Actually these pictures were taken when we took the slides to the camera store.  Above is a cool picture of the Chrysler Building and below is the Library.

We had dinner at Gramercy Tavern where they gave us dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plates.
