Arriving Gotham

After an entire day of traveling, we finally made it! Our flight was delayed two hours in Shreveport so that threw us off for the rest of the trip, but all that matters is at 5:30 pm our plane touched down in NYC! We met Gabrielle, the apartment owners' daughter at the apartment, and thus began another adventure.

As we were settling in, Hannah came down and met us. It was so good to see her. It had been only a week but for some reason it seemed much longer. She brought her things to spend the night with us. We walked over to Felidia on E. 58th Street and had a wonderful dinner. Bill, Tony's brother who knows all the great places to eat, recommended this restaurant. Hannah talked non-stop about all that she was learning, the challenges of the program, the visiting artists, the instructors, the other art students, and life in general at Columbia. We took it all in, and (I know you can't imagine this) I asked a million questions.

The pear ravioli that Bill insisted we get...it was to die for

After dinner we walked back to the apartment and fell, tired as dogs, into bed.
